It would appear that Quentin Tarantino’s long-discussed tenth and final film could be the Kill Bill follow-up he’s been teasing for years. Tarantino spoke with Andy Cohen promoting Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s home video release and suggested that the sequel, which he last discussed in July, is still on his list of films to do.

When asked if a third film in the series is still possible, Tarantino said, “Well, I just so happen to have had dinner with Uma Thurman last night. We were at a really a really cool Japanese restaurant … I do have an idea of what I would do with it. That was the whole thing, was conquering that concept. Exactly what’s happened to the Bride since then, and what do I want to do. Because I wouldn’t want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn’t deserve that. The Bride has fought long and hard. But now I actually have an idea that could be interesting.”

He noted that we aren’t going to see the movie soon, telling Cohen, “I wouldn’t do it for a little bit … It would be at least three years from now, or something like that. But look, it is definitely in the cards.”

Cohen asked if we’ll see another film before Kill Bill 3 from him, which is something Tarantino’s talked about before. The director has been adamant that his tenth movie would be his last, and he answered, “No. Well, not a movie. What I did when I wrote Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was — normally I finish a script and then we just go and open up offices. But I kind of had more to do. I had more stuff in me. And so I wrote a play, and then I wrote a five-episode TV series. So that’s — to some degree or another, I’ve kind of written what I’m gonna do for the next three years. And then after that, I’ll get around to what my next movie will be.”
