Robert Pattinson Cycles Through Lives In Trailer For Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17
Parasite director Bong Joon-ho is back with the sci-fi dark comedy Mickey 17, and the trailer is online. Warner Bros. Pictures released the first trailer for the Robert Pattinson-starring film, and you can check it out below.
The trailer centers on Pattinson’s character of Mickey Barnes, who signs up for a job as an “expendable” — which means that if he dies on the job, a new version of his body will be printed. And of course, that means he’s going to die again and again. But things take a turn when he returns to his bunk one day to find another him there, which makes the matter very dangerous for him.
The film is written and directed by Bong and stars Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo. Releasing on January 31st, 2025, it is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Howard Ashton and described as follows:
The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.
