SDCC: First Trailer For The Walking Dead Season 10, Danai Gurira Confirms Exit

We have the first official look at the upcoming tenth season of The Walking Dead, as well as the sad confirmation that Danai Gurira is leaving. The trailer was unveiled during the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, and you can check it out below. The four-minute long preview is full of zombies, Whisperers, Negan and Gurira’s Michonne, who will exit the series in the fall.
At the panel, Gurira confirmed her exit, noting that the decision was a difficult one but one that she made based on other things she wants to do in her career. You can see video of that below as well, during which she gets emotional and says she’s very grateful for the experience, and will always be part of the TWD family.
The series returns for its tenth season this fall.
