As Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel drew to a close, Kevin Feige talked about various projects he couldn’t fully discuss during the panel. Coming Soon reports that this included Fantastic Four, which they obtained the rights to when Disney purchased Fox. No directors or cast members were announced, but it was confirmed that they are indeed working on bringing Marvel’s First Family into the MCU.

There have so far been three attempts to bring the group to the big screen. The first was the unreleased movie produced by Roger Corman in 1994. Then Fox released two somehwat financially successful movies in 2005 and 2007 (which would star future Captain America Chris Evans as the Human Torch), before attempting a reboot in 2015. None of the film attempts so far have been met with any kind of critical or fan praise. The 2015 version is considered by some to be a disaster.
