Shawn Levy Set to Direct Deadpool 3

Deadpool’s third adventure officially has a helmer, as Shawn Levy has been tapped to direct. Deadline reports that Levy, who directed Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy and Netflix’s new film The Adam Project, is in talks to direct the third film for Marvel.

Reynolds is back to star as the titular character, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick back to write the script. A previous draft was written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin. Reynolds confirmed the news on Twitter, as you can see below.

The film is the first Deadpool movie directly under Marvel Studios, who will work with Reynolds and the Deadpool team. Plot details aren’t yet known for the film.
