Shudder Renews The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs For Season Five
The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs will be back, as Shudder has renewed the hit series for a fifth season. The AMC Network-owned horror streaming series announced on Thursday that they have renewed the show for season five, which will air in 2023. In addition, more specials will premiere later this year that have yet to be announced.
“Thanks to the Shudder team for giving us the chance to hang out another year with the greatest fans in media. I’m constantly amazed by their affection and I’m constantly learning from them,” said Joe Bob Briggs in a statement.
The series has been a major hit for Shudder since it premiered in 2019 following a 24-hour marathon intended to be Briggs’ final farewell to televised movie hosting. The series features Briggs hosting horror double features complete with commentary about their histories and significance to genre cinema and commonly features guests. The fourth season finale airs Friday on Shudder.
