Producer Confirms Sony Nixed Into the Spider-Verse Cameos By Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland

Producer Chris Miller has confirmed that planned appearance by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland in Into the Spider-Verse was shot down by Sony. Miller confirmed reports that the trio, all of which have of course played the wallcrawler in live-action, were planned to appear in a post-credits scene. However, he said that Sony brass nixed it because it was “too soon.”

Holland previously discussed his cameo being cut, saying he was “heartbroken” when it didn’t happen.
