TBS Cancels Wipeout Featuring John Cena

TBS has put an end to its Wipeout revival featuring John Cena. Deadline reports that Jason Sarlanis, President of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery, revealed during a keynote session at Realscreen in Miami that Wipeout and The Cube will not be continuing.

Sarlanis noted that Wipeout has a handful of episodes yet to air but will end after that. Sarlanis noted that the shows were just too expensive, saying, “Those are very much in the realm of what we do. Wipeout is inherently comedic and a joy to watch. But I think what we’re what we’re looking at is being realistic in terms of the entire environment. We have to recalibrate,” he said.

Wipeout was hosted by Cena and Nicole Byer and bowed in April of 2021. The current and now final season is its third.
