The Arrowverse is losing its original show this season, but another has officially risen to take its place in Superman & Lois. The CW announced during the TCA winter press tour that the series, which will be a spinoff of Supergirl, has been ordered to series and will air in the 2020 – 2021 series.

The new series will star Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in the roles of Superman and Lois that they’ve played in the Arrowverse to date, most recently in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover that picks back up tonight. The new series will join The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Black Lightning on the network. The first episode will be filmed ahead of the network upfronts in May.

Todd Helbing (The Flash) will write and executive produce, with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns all serving as executive producers as well.
