In a post on his Instagram account yesterday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced that he will be a presenter for this year’s Golden Globes broadcast on CBS. The Rock’s film, Moana 2, is currently up for award of Best Animated Motion Picture at this year’s award ceremony.

The Rock wrote on the event, “We CHEE HOO’n all night this Sunday 🥂 As always, I’ll have fun presenting, but more importantly – having MOANA 2 nominated for Best Picture is so special and humbling, as it represents this global embrace of our Polynesian culture and people. As the character, ‘Maui’ and producer this is a very cool and special night. We say it loud and proud. #cheeehooo🪝 #goldenglobes #disneyanimation”

The Golden Globes are scheduled for Sunday, January 5 at 8:00 pm EST on CBS and Paramount+. Incidentally, the 82nd Golden Globe Awards are happening in Beverly Hills, California one night before the debut of WWE Raw on Netflix, which is being held on Monday in Inglewood, California.
