Unsolved Mysteries To Include Paranormal Episode In Back Half of Season One

Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries is a big hit in its first couple weeks but it’s only half released, and one of the remainings will delve into the paranormal. The first six episodes of the revived series, which released on Netflix earlier this month, were almost entirely stories of true crime following in the steps of the genre’s rise over the last several years. Some fans have lamented that only one episode — the fifth, which looks at a UFO incident in the 1960s — touches heavily on paranormal themes.

That won’t be the only paranormal episode in season one though, as showrunner Terry Dunn Meurer told Variety. Asked about a potential ghost episode, Meurer said,
“Yes. But I’ll qualify that and say it’s an unusual ghost episode. That’s all I’ll say. It’s different. A bit different.”

While Netflix has yet to reveal viewership details on the series, it has been a major source of conversation online since releasing at the beginning of the month. The next set of six episodes, which will conclude season one, will arrive later this year.
