Vampires Rise In First Trailer For Salem’s Lot
Salem’s Lot arrives on Max next month, and the first trailer warns us to fear sundown. Max released the first trailer for the adaptation of the Stephen King novel on Thursday, and you can check it out below.
Set to the Gordon Lightfoot soft rock classic “Sundown,” the trailer shows the return of Bean Mears (Lewis Pullman) returning to the titular town before it finds itself taken over by the undead. We get a look at the famous window scratching scene and shots of Alfre Woodard’s Dr. Cody, John Benjamin Hickey’s Father Callahan, and Jordan Preston Carter as Mark Petrie — and plenty of glowy-eyed vampires.
The film arrives on Max on October 3rd and is directed by Gary Dauberman from his own script. It stars Pullman, Woodard, Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, Clark, Pilou Asbæk, and Hickey and is described as follows:
Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.
