Another day, another postponement, as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is now being pushed down due to the novel coronavirus. HBO has announced that the ceremony, which was set to be broadcast live for the first time May 2nd on HBO, is being postponed to a future date.

The postponement of course follows a spate of other cancellations and postponement due to concerns over COVID-19. This year’s inductees are Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, T-Rex, The Notorious B.I.G, Whitney Houston and The Doobie Brothers.

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame President Joel Peresman said in a statement, “We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Our first concern is to the health and safety of our attendees and artists and we are complying to the direction of the local and state authorities and common sense. We look forward to rescheduling the ceremony and will make that announcement at the earliest convenience.”
