411’s WWE Smackdown Report 09.07.07

The show kicks off with MVP’s new talk segment, MVP’s VIP Lounge. His guest is Matt Hardy and they argue over who was the true player in the group. Hardy challenge MVP to a match at Unforgiven for the US Title but MVP says he already accepted Deuce & Domino’s challenge for a tag title match. He also volunteered Hardy into a match with Deuce and the match is now.

Match #1: Deuce w/ Cherry and Domino vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy w/ WWE United States and Tag Team Champion MVP

We come back with the match already started with Deuce throwing Hardy around. Deuce works on him in the corner and then nails an elbow to the face. Hardy gets back on top though with a big clothesline. Hardy locks in a headlock and then hits a hip toss. Hardy runs at Deuce but Deuce dumps him on the ropes and get a two count. Deuce gets a head lock in and then nails a high elbow to the jaw of Hardy. Running fist drop by Deuce and then locks in a chin lock. Hardy gets to his feet though and drives Deuce into the corner. Deuce still has the advantage and he goes for the superplex but Hardy knocks him down and nails the elbow. Side Effect by Hardy for two! Deuce in the corner now and Hardy nails the splash but can’t connect with the bulldog and they clothesline each other. Both men get to their feet but Domino distracts Hardy and Deuce jumps Hardy. On the outside, MVP takes out Domino and then trips Deuce up so Hardy can nail the Twist of Fate for the win! **

We get a promo of Survivor with Ashley.

In the back, Jamie Noble sets up a leprechaun trap baited with Lucky Charms with a stick and a box just like the old cartoons.

We get highlights of Rey Mysterio’s WWE debut against Chavo Guerrero in 2002 to hyp their “I Quit” Match tonight.

Match #2: Chuck Palumbo w/ Michelle McCool vs. Kenny Dykstra w/ Victoria

They lock up and Chuck shoves Kenny in the corner and then nails a huge clothesline. Back body drop by Chuck but misses a shoulder thrust in the corner. Kenny works on the shoulder now and stomps on it. Shoulder lock by Kenny but Chuck nails some big right hands and catches Kenny with a powerslam. Big right hand by Chuck but Kenny gets a boot to the face. Victoria tries to steal Chuck’s bike but Michelle stops her. Chuck throws Kenny across the ring and the nails a super kick and then a Full Throttle for the win! *1/2

Winner: Chuck Palumbo via pin fall @ 4:54

In the back, Krystal and Vicky are talking about the wedding and Teddy brings Krystal a gift. It’s the new Jagged Edge CD as they will perform their song at the marriage. Kristal’s mom calls her but it is probably some guy. Vicky makes a joke about the name of the CD and Vince. So lame I won’t repeat it.

They show footage of Chavo Guerrero costing Mysterio the World Title last year against King Booker.

Match #3: Batista and Kane vs. Finlay and WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali

Finlay and Batista start off and Batista takes Finlay down but Finlay gets to his feet and gets Batista in the corner. Lock up again and Batista grabs the left arm of Finlay and shoulder blocks it. Batista hits a headlock takedown but Finlay rolls him up for a two. Batista keeps the headlock on and Finlay gets to the ropes. Batista unloads on Finlay in the corner with right hands and then hits an atomic drop. Batista catapults Finlay into Khali as we go to commercial.

-Commercial-

We’re back and Batista is working on Finlay in the corner and then tags Kane and he destroys Finlay with uppercuts and a throw in the turnbuckle. Suplex by Kane for two. Kane goes for a splash in the corner but misses and Finlay tags Khali. Kane hits a bunch of rights but he goes running to the ropes and Finlay holds the ropes down sending him outside. Finlay then nails a DDT to Kane on the floor. Khali nails some rights and starts beating on Kane in the corner. Tag to Finlay and he kicks away at Kane. Finlay nails a running boot to Kane and then locks in a headlock. Kane fights back with some right hands but Finlay jumps at Kane to take him down. Tag to Khali and he nails a huge big boot. Khali locks in a claw on the shoulder of Kane but Kane finally hits some elbows and gets away from the hold. GOOZLE by Kane and he goes for the chokeslam but Finlay distracts Kane and Khali slaps Kane off but Kane is able to nail an enzaguri. Finlay takes out Batista on the outside. Khali nails Kane down and gets a two count. Tag to Finlay and he works on Kane but Kane get a bunch of right hands until Finlay shoves Kane’s shoulder into the turnbuckle. Finlay grabs the shillelagh but Batista runs in and spears him. Khali is in and Kane and Batista double clothesline Khali out of the ring. Chokeslam to Finlay by Kane and he gets the three count! **1/2

Winners: Batista and Kane via pin fall on Finlay by Kane @ 15:12

Were in the back and Hornswoggle gets the Lucky Charms and is in the trap. Noble pulls the trap but the rope broke. The Cruiserweight belt is in the trap and Noble goes for it but the belt is on a rope and Hornswoggle pulls it out and Noble gets trapped.

Jesse and Festus are finally backstage and they find Noble in the box but they think the box is actually talking and not that somebody is in it.

Match #4: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle vs. Jamie Noble for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

They introduce Noble but he doesn’t come out because he is still in the box. The ref starts the match and starts counting Noble out. Noble get out of the box and runs down the ramp but doesn’t make it before the ten count. After the match, Hornswoggle lays marbles in the ring, Noble chases him, and trips on the marbles. NOT RATED

Cole and JBL start talking about Mr. McMahon’s son but an Undertaker video interrupts. The lights go out and a druid is in the middle of the ring. Undertaker comes out and attacks the druid but the lights go out and the druid is gone and Henry has the druid’s hoodie in his hand.

Match #5: Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in an I Quit Match

Chavo grabs the mic before Rey comes out. He has the steel chair that he took out Rey’s leg with last year and he plans on doing it again. They start brawling right off the bat with Chavo getting Rey down and choking him with the bottom rope. Chavo starts kicking him and Rey rolls out of the ring. Rey gets back in and nails a spinning hurricanrana. Head scissors to Chavo to the outside of the ring. Rey goes for a chair but Chavo stops him. They both get chairs and chair fight each other with Chavo winning. He gos to nail Rey but Rey ducks and Chavo smacks the turnbuckle. Rey gets the chair and smacks Chavo in the back. Chair to the ribs of Chavo and they Rey runs off the chair and nails a hurricanrana. Rey grabs the chair and nails Chavo in the head and the nchoke him with it. Rey sends Chavo in the ring and grabs the chair again but Chavo nails a german suplex on Rey and then whips Rey’s shoulder into the turnbuckle. Chavo works on the leg but Rey refuses to quit. Chavo grabs the chair and nails Rey with it. Chavo sets a chair up but Rey bulldogs him right into it. Rey sets a chair up in the ropes and nails a front Russian leg sweep to Chavo into it. The chair I in Chavo’s face and Rey nails a 619. Rey goes for another but Chavo nails him in the leg with the chair as we go to commercial.

We’re back and Chavo has Rey in a single leg crab. Chavo set up two chairs after releasing the hold and goes for the powerbomb but Rey reveres into a senton sit down. Chavo on the attack though and he whips Rey out of the ring. Chavo grabs a chair and nails Rey’s leg. Chavo puts the chair around Rey’s head and shoves Rey into the turnbuckle. Chavo goes to slam Rey into a chair but Rey lands on his feet and drop toe holds Chavo into the chair. HUGE kick by Rey to the face of Chavo. Chavo its on the chair and Rey nails a senton from the top. Rey nails Chavo with the chair but Chavo get up and nails a Gory Bomb to Rey on the chair. Chavo smashes Rey’s leg with the steel chair. He puts the chair on Rey’s leg and goes to the top but Rey gets up and triples him up. Rey nails Chavo with a chair and Chavo is in the tree of woe. Rey starts pounding away on Chavo’ leg with a chair until he quits. ***1/4

Great Khali comes out after the match. Rey attacks him but Khali nails a big boot and takes him down. Khali locks in the Vise Grip and Rey is bleeding from the mouth. Batista comes out and attacks Khali. He nails him with the belt and then spears him out of the ring! Khali goes to the back and Long tells him that Batista will be added to the mian event at Unforgiven and it’s a three way!
