AAA Mega Championship Changes Hands At Noches De Lucha Libre

We have a new AAA Mega Champion following Saturday’s AAA Noches De Lucha Libre event. El Hijo del Vikingo defeated Alberto El Patron at the show to capture the Mega Championship, hitting a 630 senton to claim the win and the title. You can see some clips from the match below.

This marks Vikingo’s second reign with the Mega Championship; he previously held it for a record 833 days from December of 2021 until he was forced to vacate due to injury in March of 2024. El Patron’s reign ends at 287 days, having won it from Nic Nemeth in August of last year.

The title change is not a surprise to American fans, as WWE had been advertising Vikingo vs. Chad Gable at Worlds Collide this coming weekend as an AAA Mega Championship match in the US.
