AEW Ticket Sales Update: Dynamite Sales Slow, Double or Nothing on Verge of Sellout

AEW Dynamite is presenting a three-hour extravaganza this Wednesday in Portland, ME just days before their huge Double or Nothing PPV event in Flushing, NY. It’s a >loaded card headlined by Darby Allin defending the World Championship against “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Jon Moxley will take on Kyle O’Reilly, FTR will defend the Tag Team Championship against Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong, and much more is planned to take place.
Unfortunately, ticket sales for the event haven’t matched what other AEW events have been doing lately. Wrestletix reports that 2,273 tickets have been distributed for the event. The average AEW live event attendance for this year has clocked in at 3,264. As a reference point, WWE ran a house show at Portland’s Cross Insurance Arena in late 2023 and sold 3,648 tickets.
On the bright side for AEW, ticket sales for Sunday’s Double or Nothing event have gone very well. As of Wrestletix’s last update, 13,848 tickets have been distributed for the event featuring Darby Allin defending the AEW World Championship against MJF’s hair. The event is currently on pace to sell out the Louis Armstrong Stadium. Should it do so, it’s unlikely that Tony Khan will spend much time fretting about Portland’s ticket sales.
