Andrade El Idolo Defeats PAC to Retain AEW National Championship at All Out: Chicago

PAC brought the fight to Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out: Chicago, but it wasn’t enough to dethrone the Mexican as AEW National Champion.

All Out: Chicago opened with Andrade defending the National Championship against The Death Riders’ PAC. The match started off hot, as PAC hit El Idolo with a bounce back German, only for Andrade to respond with a Dia De Los Muertos and crumble into the challenger for a near fall. Andrade, for some reason, offered PAC a handshake. However, the latter denied and kicked him.

Andrade started to fire back after he sent PAC into one of the barricades. Shafir tried to charge at him, but he sidestepped, leading to Shafir tumbling into the first row.

Later in the match, Andrade gained much-needed momentum via Three Amigos and a Tornillo to the floor. However, he then went to a female fan at ringside for a selfie, only for Shafir to emerge from behind and choke the female fan. The distraction allowed PAC to regain momentum, as he hit the champ with a Moonsault and followed it up with a 450 Splash in the ring for a near fall.

PAC then nailed a top-rope Hurricanrana, but the momentum allowed Andrade to get to his feet and nail Dia De Los Muertos. However, PAC rolled out of the ring. The closing sequence of the match saw Andrade attempt a DM, only for Shafir to come to the ring apron and cause a distraction. PAC used this opportunity to hit the Poison Rana and follow it up with The Brutalizer. However, Andrade quickly stacked PAC into a pinning combination and retained the championship.

Andrade’s reign currently stands at 63 days. He captured the National Championship from Mark Davis at the inaugural Redemption PPV in July 2026.
