Athena remains the Forever Champion, retaining the AEW Women’s World Championship against Persephone at ROH Final Battle. Athena defeated Persephone at Friday’s show in the main event to retain her title. Despite a strong challenge from the CMLL star, Athena was able to put her challenger away with an O-Face to hold onto her title.
Athena’s title reign now stands at 1,092 days. She won the title all the way back at ROH Final Battle 2022 when she defeated Mercedes Martinez. She has walked out of the last four Final Battles with the title on her shoulder.
