As previously reported, former WWE Superstar John Cena is set to appear tonight at WWE Backlash Tampa 2026 with a “history-making” announcement. It was previously rumored that Cena’s announcement would be related to the upcoming launch of WWE.
According to a new update on Cena’s announcement from WrestleVotes, there was internal hope backstage at SmackDown last night that the announcement is something beyond anything related to Club WWE. One source also informed WrestleVotes that if Club WWE is the direction of the announcement, it’s been kept very quiet behind the scenes.
