– The F4WOnline.com Daily Update from Dave Meltzer has an update on WWE’s current plans regarding the SmackDown and Raw brand extension. While Roman Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal Championships at WrestleMania 38, WWE is reportedly not planning on merging the rosters at the moment.

Additionally, with Reigns currently holding the Undisputed Championship, The Usos are set to face RK-Bro in a tag team title unification match at WrestleMania Backlash as well. Meltzer reports that while Vince McMahon could change his mind, it’s rumored that no one behind-the-scenes in WWE has heard anything discussed on merging the rosters.

Also, Meltzer reported that Roman Reigns will headline WrestleMania Backlash. However, WWE has not announced an opponent for Reigns or started a program for him for the event on TV since WrestleMania 38, and WrestleMania Backlash is in less than three weeks.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 is scheduled for May 8. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock and will be held at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
