Longtime wrestling fans surely remember the Clawmaster, Baron Von Raschke. The Baron was a staple of the AWA for many years, debuting there in the late 1960s after training under Verne Gagne. He also appeared in Jim Crockett Promotions during the 1980s as part of Paul Jones’ Army, and managed the Powers of Pain in the World Wrestling Federation during 1988. He was known for goose-stepping, using the clawhold and his catchphrase “THAT IS ALL THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW!”

The Baron had been retired since 1996, the last time most people would have seen him was when he appeared as a talking head on some WWE DVDs in the 2000s. He appeared on AEW’s Full Gear event in 2021, applying his claw to Ethan Page. called The Claw came out in 2022. Apparently now there is more to add to it.

Baron Von Raschke made an unexpected return to the ring this weekend at Dream Wave Wrestling’s event in La Salle, Illinois. The Baron was originally just scheduled for an autograph session, but one thing led to another and he ended up in the ring. Von Raschke emerged victorious in Sidney Bakabella’s Halloween Ball Gauntlet Extravaganza, becoming the oldest male to ever compete in a match at the age of 86.

We at 411mania congratulate the Baron on this achievement, as it’s always nice to hear about wrestlers or anyone else doing anything at the age of 86.
