Brie Bella Reveals Officials Wanted To Stop Her WWE SummerSlam Match

As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella suffered a shoulder injury during her match at WWE SummerSlam over the weekend. The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) released a new vlog on their YouTube channel documenting their SummerSlam experience and Brie’s injury.

While speaking with her sister after the match, Brie Bella revealed that officials thought about calling the match. However, Brie Bella wanted to stay in it to give Nikki the hot tag.

Brie Bella recalled, “It’s so funny cuz we’re you and I. I don’t know if it’s cuz we’re people pleasers, but the whole time in my head I’m like, ‘No, I got to stay in so Nikki can get the hot tag,’ cuz you know, they were telling me like, ‘Stay down.’ Or they were thinking about calling the match. And I’m like, “No, no, no.” But even though I was in crazy pain, but all I could think about was like, ‘Nikki, got to hit that comeback.'”

Brie also expressed her concerns over looking weak and sloppy in the match after getting hurt. Nikki praised her sister for continuing to work after her injury, and that no one is saying she looked sloppy. Nikki stated, “No, not one person saying that. No one thought that. Like the match actually was such a great match, and people have been loving the match, and then people knew you were injured. So people are just beyond blown away that you finished the match, how you finished it, because it wasn’t sloppy.”

Brie Bella Is Waiting To Hear Back on Possible Shoulder Surgery

Brie also provided more details about her injury, revealing that she’s waiting to find out if she needs surgery to repair her shoulder break. Brie stated, “The recovery starts today. The doctors are waiting. We don’t know if I’m going to have surgery or not. So, I should find out tomorrow.”

Nikki added that she doesn’t want to go on her WWE run without her sister, stating, “I just, I don’t want to do it alone. A part of me feels like I just need to stay back with you and just wait for us to come back in together. It’s already been a one and a one. I just don’t want to do this again without you.”
