Candice Michelle says she doesn’t keep up with other companies’ wrestling product, and that it actually helps her in her TNA producing role. Michelle came on board as a producer for TNA in March, and she has been helping talent out in a backstage capacity since.

Michelle appeared on TMZ Inside the Ring and noted that she doesn’t keep up with WWE or other company’s wrestling product. She noted that she doesn’t have time and watches plenty of wrestling in TNA. She added that she doesn’t need to know everything that’s going on in the industry for her job and that watching too much could even make talents jaded and afraid to try certain things. You can see highlights below:

On If She Keeps Up With Other Companies:

“No, I don’t watch wrestling actually. Yeah, I think people find that really interesting. Quite frankly, I just don’t have time. I think of it kind of like — I mean, I might be dating myself. But when I think of Brett Favre, he’s not watching every quarterback and every football game. He’s actually trying to be the best quarterback, right? And so, I don’t have time to watch hours of wrestling, you know? I’m a mom of three little girls. I’m going to do my job. I’m watching wrestling there and producing there, I own a business here. I’m trying to focus my rebranding. Like, there is no time to watch wrestling.”

On If It’s a Detriment To Her Job:

“I don’t need to know [everything]. And the thing is, I think it jades people a lot. They’re like, ‘Oh my god, her hair’s pink. I can’t have pink hair.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, why not?’ Or, ‘They did this move, I can’t ever do this move.’ And so, they don’t listen to their intuition.

So when I’m there backstage, I’m not jaded by anything. I’m looking at this girl or this guy and I’m like, ‘Where’s that it factor? What’s missing here?’ And I can really hear my intuition for them, and I can offer up something completely without any other perspective. And sometimes they’re like, ‘Well, so and so did this.’ And I was like, ‘Well, that was really different. So if you don’t want to take this that’s fine, but this is like that little extra thing that’ll get you over. But it kind of jades you a little bit.”
