Charlotte Flair has moved onto the semifinals in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, winning her Fatal 4-Way match on this week’s WWE Smackdown. The first match on Friday night’s episode was the final first-round bout in the Queen of the Ring tournament as Flair, Sol Ruca, Jade Cargill, and Lyra Valkyria battled to move onto the semifinals.
The match went 18 minutes long and saw Alexa Bliss and Tiffany Stratton show up early on to act ac equalizers for Cargill’s allies B-Fab and Michin. Cargill found herself targeted by all three of the babyfaces before the alliance broke down.
The final sequence saw Cargill escape a Nightwing by Valkyria, but get hit with a Sol Snatcher. Valkyria pulled Ruca off of the pin attempt and hit a leg drop on Cargill. Flair came back into it and was able to eventually apply the Figure 8 to Valkyria, forcing her to tap out. You can see clips from the match below.
Flair will now face Liv Morgan in the semifinals of the tournament for the right to move on to the finals. The other semifinal will see Raquel Rodriguez battle IYO SKY, with the finals taking place at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 27th.
