Charlotte Flair Says Becky Lynch Feud Was One of Her Biggest Learning Moments

Charlotte Flair has had a career-long heated rivalry with Becky Lynch, and she recently named it as one of her biggest learning experiences. Flair and Lynch have had an association that extends all the way back to battles in NXT, reaching its height in the main event of WrestleMania 35.

The rivalry between Lynch and Flair will be chronicled in an upcoming episode of WWE Rivals, and Flair reflected on revisiting the feud for the show on TMZ Inside the Ring. She noted that the rivalry was one of her biggest learning moments. You can see the highlights:

“It’s a loaded question. To me, it feels like yesterday. And also, you know, with my dad and Macho Man’s rivalry coming out, and you look at them and you think like, my dad’s 78. N ow the rivalry is being talked about. For me, it’s incredible that Becky and I have this platform to talk about the incredible rivalry that we had due to the pivotal moment in the business for women for us, and what we mean to each other’s careers.

“There wouldn’t be The Man without The Queen and they’re wouldn’t be The Queen without The Man. I don’t think it’s over, I think this is just the beginning. If they’re a new fan, they’re just getting a taste of what Becky vs. Charlotte looked like but to me, I want to see what’s next.”

On the Impact of the Rivalry For Her:

“What I do remember from the rivalry with Becks is like, it made me the performer I am today. Now I would have done everything different, and I don’t think I even got a gear change until I had faced Ronda after Becky had turned on me at SummerSlam, and then I faced Ronda at Survivor Series due to Becky — you know, the infamous punch and I was her replacement for the match.

“But I just look back and I learned so much from that feud and I am where I am today due to what I learned from it. I think for her it may like it was probably one of the biggest moments in her career or highlights, but for me it was probably one of the biggest learning moments for me in my career.”
