Chessman’s AAA TripleMania XXXI Match Changed, Will Face Mystery Opponent
The uncertainty around Chessman’s match at AAA TripleMania XXXI: Monterrey has been resolved, with the star getting a new (surprise) opponent. As reported yesterday, Chessman’s match with Adrian Marcelo was in doubt after the latter failed a wrestling exam and was accused of sexual assault. AAA has now quietly removed the match from the show, and Chessman will be facing a mystery opponent.
The change was revealed on the poster for the show, which you can see below. Marcelo had noted following his failed exam, which he walked out of after an hour, that he would be at TripleMania XXXI: Monterrey but did not say he would be competing. As such, it’s not yet clear if he will appear on the show.
