Chris Jericho Files For Comedic Trademark After Being Ambushed by The Demand on AEW Dynamite

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has filed for a new trademark, this time a rather hilarious one, following events of last night’s Dynamite: Spring BreakThru.

On Wednesday, April 15, Jericho filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) to trademark “The Guy Who Gets His Ass Beat By The Demand Every Week That He Shows Up.”

Below is the description:

“IC 041: Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

Jericho’s first match upon return at this past weekend’ Dynasty PPV ended in disappointment as Ricochet defeated him, thanks to assistance from his Demand stablemates Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun got involved.

Last night at Dynamite: Spring BreakThru, Jericho gave his flowers to Ricochet, albeit noting that he was undone by the numbers game at Dynasty. The Demand eventually interrupted him. Ricochet told Jericho that he did fairly well but couldn’t overcome his rise. He urged the veteran to quit when he’s ahead before asking, “Why doesn’t he be the guy who gets his a** beat by The Demand every week?”

Jericho dropped “bald” references and instigated Ricochet to leave Liona and Kaun behind and fight him one-on-one, to the point that the high-flyer asked his stablemates to stay back as he got in the ring, only to be taken down by Jericho. He ultimately called for the help of Liona and Kaun, who duly obliged, and joined their leader in beating down Jericho.
