Chris Jericho Critiques His WWE Debut, Didn’t Think His Delivery of the Promo Was Great

– During a recent edition of Talk Is Jericho, AEW star Chris Jericho reflected on the 25th anniversary of his WWE debut as Y2Jericho, which took place 25 years ago in August 1999. Jericho was revealed as WWE’s mysterious millennium man. According to Jericho, while he felt the moment of his debut was great, the promo he cut for his debut in a segment that featured The Rock was not. He stated the following on the subject (via Fightful):

“Watching it now, 25 years later, some might say that I’m a great promo. I don’t feel this was a great promo. I feel the moment was great. The way WWE orchestrated the moment was great. The way WWE built up the moment was great. I feel my delivery was not quite up to snuff. I still look pretty killer. We’ve got that.”

The Learning Tree leader will defend his For The World Championship this weekend at AEW All In: London 2024 against Hook. If hook loses, he can never challenge for the FTW Title as long as Chris Jericho is champion. AEW All In: London 2024 is scheduled for Sunday, August 25 at London’s Wembley Stadium. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
