Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced a new landmark promotional partnership. The newly announced strategic international partnership seeks to expand the promotions’ global reach, elevate brand visibility, and deliver world-class professional wrestling events featuring talent from both organizations.

Under the agreement, there will be a formal talent exchange, with MLP promoting CMLL stars across Canada. Meanwhile, CMLL will showcase MLP talent throughout Mexico as part of a collaborative effort that will strengthen the international awareness and drive commercial growth for both brands.

Speaking on the announcement via a press release, MLP President Scott D’Amore commented, “This partnership represents a meaningful step forward in building a truly international wrestling ecosystem.” He continued, “CMLL is one of the most respected organizations in the sport, and together we intend to create compelling matchups, unforgettable events, and new opportunities for talent to perform on a global stage.”

CMLL President Salvador Lutteroth also commented, “This alliance reflects our shared vision of growing professional wrestling beyond traditional borders.” Lutteroth added, “By bringing our athletes to new audiences and embracing cooperative promotion, we are creating fresh experiences for fans in both countries. Only in Arena México, one of four different arenas owned by CMLL in Mexico, we managed to bring in over 1 million fans into the Cathedral of Lucha Libre, and we are excited to have those fans witness the matches and action that the pairing of CMLL and MLP will bring to audiences.”
