– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

Hey all, after 6-weeks in the hospital and physical therapy facility following a severe infection and above knee amputation of my left leg, I am back in action. Please bare with me as my typing is a bit slow after so much time off and the reviews may be a bit different until I get back into form. Thank you .

Johnny Impact Speaks: Impact talked about being a fighting champion, and maybe defending too much. But he’s defied the odds and wants to move on. Moose arrived and called him a baby and a horrible champion. He claimed Kross & Cage cost him the title, and Kross arrived ran down Moose for crossing him, which Impact found amusing. They argued, with Moose claiming that it’s his turn to be champion. Impact proposed a match between Moose and Kross and the winner gets a title shot. This was an overall solid opening segment with good intensity, designed to set Impact’s next challenger.

Moose vs. Killer Kross: This had a good hoss fight style vibe to it with both guys eventually looking to take the low road to win early, which I appreciated since it was for a title shot. Impact got involved, leading to the no contest and Cage getting involved, and saving Impact. Moose vs. Killer Kross went to a no contest @ 4:10 [NR] This was ok while it lasted, but left us at a stalemate in terms of crowning a new contender.

– Konnan and LAX met, claiming that they will be done with the Lucha Bros after tonight.

– Impact thanks Cage for his help, and says they can’t have another title match with Moose & Kross around. Impact proposes they team up and take are of them and offers him a title shot.

– Gama Singh gets high with the Rascalz.

– Reno Scum is returning next week.

The Desi Hit Squad vs. The Rascalz: DHS took early control as the Rascalz were still too high. They ran wild early, scoring near falls, and working double teams. The Rascalz eventually regrouped and made the big comeback, they worked into some solid back and forth until Trey hit Meteora for the win. The Rascalz defeated Desi Hit Squad @ 6:20 via pin [**¾] This was pretty good, with DHS improving, and the Rascalz continuing to be a load of fun when they get the chance. Their selling for DHS early was really great.

– Eli Drake cuts a promo ahead of his match with Edwards tonight. He’s quite good.

– Sami Callihan visits Rich Swann in the hospital. He apologizes for hurting him and says Swann has to live up to his potential. Sami is proud of Swann for standing up to him, but reminds him he’s like his big brother. Sami gives him an oVe shirt, as he’s still trying to recruit him.

Eddie Edwards vs. Eli Drake: This was set up last week when Drake cost Edwards their tag match. Edwards out-wrestled Drake early on, and then continued control on the floor. Edwards wanted Kenny, but got distracted, allowing Drake to take control back in the ring until he missed a moonsault. Edwards fired up, made his comeback and started picking up near falls. They then worked into some really well done back and forth, counters, and near falls. Edwards got Kenny, but that allowed Drake to score a great near fall off of a burning hammer. Drake took Kenny, allowing Edwards to cradle him for the win. Eddie Edwards defeated Eli Drake @ 10:37 via pin [***½] This was very good stuff and made me want to see a long form PPV match from the two. Drake losing by teasing going hardcore, which he’s been fighting against, played well.

– Tessa complained about Gail Kim and promised to get a title match one way or another.

– Disco Inferno arrives and gets locked out of the building.

Alicia Edwards vs. Delilah Doom: Doom is a SHIMMER & Rise regular, while Alicia is a getting back into in ring action instead of just being Eddie’s wife. They worked back and forth, with both getting some time to control until Tessa arrived to kill them both. Alicia Edwards vs. Delilah Doom went to a no contest @ 1:55 [NR] The match itself felt like they were rushing too much and it felt sloppy. The angle works well for Tessa following her promo, but came off too similar to the opening angle in my opinion. Tessa’s attack was great.

– We get an Ace Austin Video package.

– Doom challenges Tessa for next week, she wants to die.

– We get a Rosemary/Allie/Su/James Mitchell angle, setting up a dark war between Rosemary and Mitchell’s women. If Rosemary wins, she gets Allie, but if she loses, they get Rosemary.

Champions Lucha Bros vs. LAX: The niceties went out the window here as LAX attacked during the champion’s entrance and took early control. The champions made a comeback, and it broke into a Pentagon vs. Santana battle for a bit until LAX took control once again, working double teams. LAX took most of the match, with Fenix making a comeback and Pentagon finally running wild off the hot tag. LAX rallied and made a comeback, running through good double teams and picking up near falls on Pentagon. Fenix made the save and the double stomp/fear factor finally ended LAX. Champions Lucha Bros defeated LAX @ 11:55 via pin [***½] This was a very good main event that made good use of the time given, but was missing that next gear to make it great and as good as previous outings. But judging by the post match, we’re far from over.

– Post match, LAX attacked and unmasked the champions when they refused their handshake.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.
