Check yourself before you wreck yourself brother White. They break the count, White hits a sleeper suplex, but Elgin counters blade runner with huge spinning strikes. The knee strike follows, and then a rolling elbow and half and half suplex. The tiger bomb connects for 2. White fights off the buckle bomb, grabbing the ref as Elgin finally hits it and that’s a ref bump. Low blow by White. Blade runner finishes it. Jay White defeated Michael Elgin @ 17:59 via pin [***¾] I really enjoyed this, as they constantly built the action and drama throughout the match. By hook or by crook, White moves to 3-0, following his wins over Tanahashi & Okada with a win over Elgin here. This had a really nice build throughout, and the crowd was completely invested and locked in during the closing stretch. White picks up another douchey win to keep his run going. I am so over these ref bump and interference finishes, it fits White’s character, but really deflated the crowd here. Sometimes a hell, especially one you want to be a top guy, just needs to win; the ref bump wasn’t needed here.
Minoru Suzuki vs. YOSHI-HASHI: HASHI attacks before the bell, taking the fight to Suzuki and working to the floor. Suzuki now fucks him up with rapid-fire strikes but HASHI hits a superkick and cradle for 2. Big strikes by Suzuki, and the Gotch finally finishes it. Minoru Suzuki defeated YOSHI-HASHI @ 13:40 via pin [**½] They tried to make HASHI a resilient, never say die babyface and get sympathy on him but it led to a flat match that felt as if it went way too long as the crowd never really invested in HASHI.
EVIL vs. Togi Makabe: They trade strikes at the bell, EVIL lays in chops but runs into a shoulder tackle and bails. The fight goes to the floor, with Makabe controlling until EVIL sidesteps him and Make crashes into the barricade. EVIL gets chairs and does his baseball swing spot. EVIL hits darkness falls for 2. Makabe fights off everything is evil, they trade lariats, and both men are rocked. EVIL finally fires up and takes Makabe down, hits everything is evil and picks up the win. EVIL defeated Togi Makabe @ 10:23 via pin [**¾] This was a pretty good, hard-hitting, big man match. Makabe finally takes his first loss.
Bad Luck Fale vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi: Loa is out with Fale. These two are 2-2 all time in G1 action. Tanahashi attacks with a dropkick at the bell and starts attacking the knee of Fale. Tanahashi chop blocks him now, and continues attacking the knee with kicks and a dropkick. Fale to the floor and Tanahashi follows with an apron cannonball. Fale finally fights back and tosses Tanahashi over the barricade. Fale takes the ref as Loa lays the boots to Tanahashi. Fale back out and tosses Tanahashi into some chairs. Tanahashi beats the count, but Fale immediately attacks. It’s all Fale now as he works over Tanahashi in the ropes. The slam follows as Fale covers for 2. Fale now grinds things to a halt, working a neck pinch. Tanahashi slowly fires up and starts attacking the knee again with dropkicks and a dragon screw. Fale tries to fight off the cloverleaf, but Tanahashi locks it in. Fale escapes and sends Tanahashi to the floor. Back in and Tanahashi hits the dragon screw in the ropes. Fale ends up hitting Loa by accident, Tonga in and hits gun stun on Tanahashi. Fale covers, but Red Shoes throws the middle fingers at Fale and DQs him. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Bad Luck Fale @ 16:35 via DQ [***] They were legit on their way to a great match as Tanahashi again showed he can get the most out of Fale and they had the crowd invested. And then the run-ins and anti-climactic finish happened and it completely killed it for me. We’ll call it good overall, and at least an actual DQ was refreshing.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Adam Page: Okada has penis-like balloons tonight. They lockup and work into a series of counters; Okada starts playing around, frustrating Page. Page clotheslines him to the floor and follows with a sloppy looking suicide dive, calling Okada a piece of shit. Back in and the bridging fall away slam gets 2. After some counters, Page hits the running shooting star press for 2. The slam and senton atomico follows. Okada fights back to his feet and hits a DDT. Okada picks up the pace, hits the flapjack and covers for 2. Okada now dropkicks him to the floor. He follows and maintains control until Page hits the buckshot lariat on the floor. Back in and Page heads up top, and the moonsault misses. Page avoids the drop kick, looks for rite of passage, Okada counters, and Page then transitions into the jig’n tonic for 2. Okada fights off rite of passage again, lays in rights, heads up top but Page cuts him off. Okada knocks him back to the mat, but Page fires up and is back up top and hits the neck breaker. Okada gets pissed, and hits the rainmaker and for the first time in over 40-days, picks up a singles win. Kazuchika Okada defeated Adam Page @ 17:30 via pin [****] While not a blow away match by any means, this was a great main event match with Okada finally overcoming and picking up his first win. They did a really great job of teasing Okada losing again, and Page not only delivered, but felt like he belonged in there with Okada, he did really well here as he strong 2018 continues.
