Darby Allin Defeats Andrade El Idolo At AEW Dynasty

Darby Allin was able to pick up a big win at AEW Dynasty as he got the duke over Andrade El Idolo at the PPV. Sunday night’s show saw Allin and El Idolo go to war in a match that went nearly 17 minutes.

Allin took a lot of offense from the Don Callis Family member, who used his power advantage to control the match. Allin battled back with his high-risk repertoire and they went back and forth. El Idolo kicked out from a Coffin Drop and dodged a Code Red before hitting a spinning back elbow for two-plus. Allin came back and blocked a DM attempt, then picked up the win via the Last Supper. After the match, El Idolo was disappointed but accepted a handshake from Allin. He raised Allin’s hand and then left.

Allin has been fighting to get into position for an AEW World Championship match and has been in the mix with El Idolo, Swerve Strickland, and others. With the victory, Allin has earned a future World Title shot. You can see highlights from the match below.
