Details on Why Nikki Cross Was Not Called Up to Main Roster

– A new report has details on why Nikki Cross did not join SAnitY in being called up to the main roster from NXT in the Superstar Shakeup. According to Wrestling Observer, Cross will not be joining Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, and Sawyer Fulton on Smackdown after they were announced as call-ups on this week’s episode.

The site reports that Cross is being kept in NXT for now in order to help with the brand’s women’s division. That division saw three top names in Ember Moon, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay get called up in the last couple of weeks. Cross will be helping keep the division strong in NXT, where Shayna Baszler is currently the women’s champion.

Cross is expected to have a big role at the upcoming NXT TakeOver: Chicago that takes place on June 16th.
