Dominik Mysterio Shares Pic Of Busted Open Scalp From AAA Rey de Reyes

Dominik Mysterio did not escape his match with El Hijo Del Vikingo at last night’s AAA Rey de Reyes unscathed, as he noted in pics posted to social media after the show. As noted, Mysterio defeated Vikingo at Saturday night’s show in order to retain the AAA Mega Championship. He posted to Instagram after the show to share some images from of his scalp busted open. Mysterio got the win after chaos broke out involving Omos and Mini Vikingo getting involved in the match. Amid the interference, Mysterio hit Vikingo with a chair and then hit a 619 followed by a frog splash to pick up the victory. As a result of the match stipulations, Vikingo cannot challenge for the title again while Mysterio is champion.

The match was the main event of Saturday’s AAA On FOX broadcast. Mysterio has been Mega Champion for 184 days, having defeated Vikingo for the championship at AAA Worlds Collide: Las Vegas in September of last year. Last night’s show was his second title defense, having previously retained it against Dragon Lee at AAA Heroes Inmortales in October of last year.

Vikingo won the title shot by defeating El Grande Americano at the AAA on FOX premiere.
