The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is in the books, and a new report has early plans on location and other logistics for the 2027 iteration. The Royal Rumble took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia over the weekend with Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan winning the men’s and women’s matches. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports some early discussion backstage in WWE about next year’s Royal Rumble plans.
According to sources in the company, the “general chatter” in WWE is that next year’s show is likely headed back to the US in a stadium. That is not a major surprise; the Rumble has taken place in the US every year except the first, which was in Ontario, Canada. That said, WWE has been hosting more and more PLEs overseas in recent years.
It is also reported that the belief is 2027’s iteration will still be a one-night show. WWE has had discussion in the past about expanding the Rumble to two nights, similar to WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but that does not appear to be happening next year (at least as of now).
WWE has not yet announced a date for the 2027 Rumble, nor any other details for the show. The only 2027 date announced so far is WrestleMania 43, which will take place in Saudi Arabia.
