ECW alumni Chad Slivenski, aka Chad Austin, appeared on last night’s episode of On Patrol: Live on Reelz (via PWInsider). Slivenski previously wrestled for the original ECW, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and various other indie promotions in the Maryland and Delaware areas throughout his career.
On Patrol: Live is a reality show that follows real law enforcement officers in real-time as they patrol communities across the United States. The episode in question featured a feed from a police officer in Tennessee, who was speaking to someone who revealed he was dealing with various medical issues and referred to himself as a professional wrestler.
When they asked him where he wrestled, the individual in question identified himself as Chad Austin, who previously wrestled for ECW. Slivenski discussed working for WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette, and he also shared a story about wrestling Mr. Hughes when the broadcast moved to another feed.
PWInsider notes that the show did not return to the feed with Slivenski after his appearance. It’s unknown why Austin was stopped by police, nor if any type of action was taken against him.
Chad Austin reportedly last wrestled in the indies back in 2019.
