Fox Sports Mexico Confirms CMLL TV Deal, Will Air Viernes Espectacular Weekly

Fox Sports Mexico has confirmed that it has signed a deal with CMLL to air their Viernes Espectacular events weekly starting later this month. As noted, CMLL announced on Wednesday night that it was coming to FOX Sports in Mexico starting April 24th. The TV network confirmed the news in a press releasing, noting that CMLL’s Friday night events will be air live on the network.
The announcement notes:
“Starting Friday, April 24, fans will be able to watch live every Friday the traditional lucha libre events held at the historic Arena México, a venue known as the ‘Cathedral of Lucha Libre.’
With more than nine decades of history, CMLL is one of the most important wrestling promotions in the world and a major reference point in Mexican sports entertainment, recognized for its tradition, legendary rivalries, and the creation of major stars.”
