FOX Still Reportedly Interested In Acquiring Raw, Other Outlets Aiming For Smackdown

– FOX isn’t ready to give up on picking up Raw in addition to its reported frontrunner status regarding landing the rights to Smackdown. Wrestling Observer Radio reports that FOX is still interested in getting the rights to air Raw in the US, as NBCUniversal’s talks are not yet closed.

As reported on Wednesday, WWE and NBCUniversal are close to finalizing their deal to keep the Monday night show on USA Network. Variety reports that in addition to FOX, Facebook and Amazon are top contenders for the rights to Smackdown.

WWE’s current deal with NBCUniversal expires on September 30th, 2019. The deal for the Monday night show is reportedly triple that of what WWE was previously getting from NBCU.
