Gunther On If His World Title Win At WWE Summerslam Is Tainted

Gunther beat Damian Priest (after Finn Balor interfered and cost Priest the match) to win the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Summerslam on Saturday night. After the show, Gunther spoke to the media about his win, saying it was “deserved” and that Balor’s interference doesn’t taint it (h/t Fightful).

“Nothing’s tainted, no reservations. Nothing to be ashamed of. From this day forth, Monday Night Raw and the legacy of the World Heavyweight Championship belong to me. If anybody out there thinks I don’t deserve this, they know where to find me,” he said.
