Gypsy Joe Passes Away

According to Pwinsider.com, Gilberto Melendez (known to wrestling fans as Gypsy Joe) passed away at the age of 82. He had been sick for some time, and his passing was said to not be a surprise. Joe worked pretty much every where; for the WWWF, Puerto Rico, Memphis, Stampede Wrestling, W*ING and even Tajiri’s SMASH promotion in 2010. In 2007 he was named the oldest active wrestler by WWE Magazine at age 73. He retired in 2010 for health reasons.
