Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Hirooki Goto announced that he will be making his NJPW in-ring return next month. The 46-year-old former champion appeared at press conference for NJPW Destruction in Kobe, announcing that he will be back in the ring on October 13 at NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling.
Goto last wrestled at NJPW Tanahashi Jam in June, where he lost the IWGP World Title to Zack Sabre Jr. He’s also been keeping busy, as he was cast in the role of E. Honda in Legendary’s new live-action Street Fighter movie, opposite WWE’s Cody Rhodes as Guile and Roman Reigns as Akuma.
NJPW King of Pro wrestling, featuring the return of Hirooki Goto, is scheduled for Monday, October 13 at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. It will stream live on NJPW World.
