On the latest episode of The Snake Pit with Jake Roberts, Jacques Rougeau shared his experience of attending the funeral service for his late friend, Hulk Hogan. You can check out some highlights below:

On attending the funeral: “We grew really close together. And I was actually at his funeral a couple of weeks ago. I went to his funeral. I wouldn’t miss that with for the world, and contrary to a lot of the boys that were there, some of them anyway, they was all paid by WWE. I paid my own flight with my girlfriend.”

On paying to go to it: “It cost me $2,000 to just turn around and get the plane tickets and the hotel. And I’m not financially that secure in life, but for me it was a must. It was a must for everything he did for me, for everything he did for wrestling, for the relationship we had — me, him, and Jimmy. And so it was like, I had to go down there. And I told my girlfriend, ‘I know it’s $2,000,’ but I said, ‘We gotta go.’ And so we went, and I was so happy I went. And it was a good closing to go there, to turn the page on this wonderful man.”
