Jacy Jayne Says She Was Intimidated Facing Off With Rhea Ripley at WWE NXT Homecoming

During a recent interview with Good Karma Wrestling, WWE NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne discussed the experience of facing off against top WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley in a tag team bout last week at NXT Homecoming. Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx, and Fallon Henley faced off against the ream of Lyra Valkyria, Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer, with the latter winning the match. Jayne admitted to being very intimidated by the former WWE Women’s World Champion.

Jacy Jayne said on stepping into the ring with Rhea Ripley (via Fightful), “I’m not going to lie, standing across the ring from her was very intimidating. I don’t say that very often. I rarely get intimidated with people, but I was definitely intimidated by her.” She continued, “She has such a high impact presence to her. The second she comes out, you know everyone is focused on her. She just grabs your attention and you can’t look away. She is great at what she does. I think she’s one of the best to ever do it.”

Jacy Jayne defends her NXT Women’s Title later this weekend against Lola Vice at NXT No Mercy. The premium live event takes place on Saturday, September 27 at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It will air live on Peacock.
