JBL Says Chad Gable Is the Best Wrestler In the World

On the latest episode of Something To Wrestle With, JBL talked about the El Grande Americano mask vs. mask match at AAA Noche de los Grandes. JBL ranked it as the favorite match of his entire broadcasting career and said the man who lost it, Chad Gable, is the best wrestler in the world. You can check out some highlights below:

I’ve called so many Dolph matches, Dolph’s return, Dolph’s cash-in, Seth’s cash in, the Dudleys’ returning in Brooklyn. I mean, I’m called so many of these great matches.

“This to me, because I knew where they came from. And I knew what it took to get there, and the preposterousness of this storyline. You took two guys who were not being used. You know, Kaiser was not being used to WWE, and you see that they should have been somewhere. He’s a talented guy. Chad Gable is not being used that well, and you see what they should have been doing.”

“Look, this is one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen. And I think Chad Gable — as I said earlier in the week, I think he’s the best wrestler in the world and I don’t think it’s close. I mean, there’s certain guys that come along every generation that are just fantastic at what they do. Kurt Angle was like that, Eddie Guerrero was like that, Shawn Michaels was like that. You can have great wrestlers, but certain guys just have instincts and can get out there.

“The little suplexes Chad was doing on the floor, just so naturally. I just thought it was absolutely amazing. He kind of got stuck in kind of a campy villain top character in what he was doing in WWE. There’s a real ceiling to that. There was no ceiling to this.”
