John Cena is of the opinion that CM Punk and Cody Rhodes put pressure on themselves that they don’t need to. The retired WWE star appeared on Busted Open Radio while promoting Matchbox: The Movie and talked about the pressure that top names like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes put upon themselves.

“Where people get caught up is like, I love Punk,” Cena said (per Fightful). “And his obsession with main eventing WrestleMania, I think, is a weakness. And I think if you talk to him now, he evolves as a human being. Every time I see him, he evolves as a man.”

He continued, “That’s only my personal preference. I think he’s carrying a weight he doesn’t need. That’s all — not a weakness. I think he’s carrying a weight he doesn’t need. As far as Cody (Rhodes) wanting to be this thing, but you’re carrying a weight you don’t need. Just do great work and the people will show up.”

Matchbox: The Movie stars John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, and Teyonah Parris and releases October 9th on Apple TV.
