Disgraced former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis has shared his thoughts on Triple H’s work atop WWE’s creative. Laurinaitis has been persona non grata in WWE (and in most places in general) since he was terminated in the wake of allegations regarding his involvement in Vince McMahon’s alleged abuse and trafficking of Janel Grant. Laurinaitis’ firing took place in August of 2022.
Laurinaitis made an appearance on the Signed By Superstars livestream, in which he was asked by a fan about the work Triple H is doing as Chief Creative Officer.
“I think Paul is doing a good job,” Laurinaitis answered per Wrestling Inc). “It’s not an easy seat to sit in. A lot of pressure.”
Triple H took over creative in the wake of Vince McMahon’s initial retirement from the company after the Wall Street Journal published reports of McMahon having been investigated by the company for “hush money” payments made to four women. One of those was Grant, whose lawsuit against McMahon in 2024 facilitated his resignation from WWE.
Laurinaitis was initially a defendant as well, but was dropped from Grant’s lawsuit after he agreed to cooperate and provide evidence against McMahon. It was reported that the lawsuit is now moving to private arbitration at the request of all parties.
