Jon Moxley Retains Continental Title Against Bandido At AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Jon Moxley kept his AEW Continental Championship reign intact with a win over Bandido at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door. Moxley and Bandido battled for the Death Rider leader’s title on the main card of Sunday’s PPV, a match that lasted a little over 18 minutes.

The bout saw Moxley dominate the action for swaths, with Bandido battling back again and again despite getting busted open at one point. The match came to a close as Bandido was in control and went for his 21 Plex. However, Moxley countered into a sleeper. Bandido tried to turn it into a pin but Moxley ground down into a Bulldog Choke. Bandido tried to battle out, but Moxley kept it locked in and put Bandido out for the victory.

You can see clips from the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door match below. Moxley’s title reign is now at 184 days; he won it from Kazuchika Okada at AEW Worlds End in the finals of the 2025 Continental Classic.
