Kevin Nash Explains Why He Hated Being Booked Against Bob Backlund

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash took a listener question about the opponent he least looked forward to being booked with. Nash landed on Bob Backlund. Nash won his first WWE Championship with a win over Backlund, which he spoke about on Broken Skull Sessions back in 2021. You can check out his comments below:

On Why Bob Backlund Was a Tough Opponent For Him:

“I had a really hard time with Backlund. We were just so different. Different eras, different styles, different everything. So Bob was — I didn’t hate working with him. It was difficult. You know what? I am lying, I did. I didn’t hate him. I hated working with him, though. So I would be lying to say I didn’t really not look forward to that.”

On Looking Back at Himself at 40:

“I thought at 40 I had s**t dialed in. And I look back now, 27 years later, and go, ‘What a douchebag.'”
