– During a recent edition of Kliq This, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash spoke about Mattel’s line of WWE Monday Night War Elite Collection action figures. However, the collection does not include fellow WWE Hall of Famer Sting, as he’s still under an agreement with AEW and doesn’t have a merchandise deal with WWE or Mattel to make new action figures with his likeness from that era. Kevin Nash noted on why Sting should be included in the toyline (via WrestlingInc.com):
“I don’t know who’s in it, I’m not really…If it’s a Monday Night War toy line, and Sting’s not in it, absolutely [it’s unfortunate], because he was so pivotal. He was one of…he was a star for so many years [in WCW]. He was WCW. And that’s why when he took off the paint and became ‘The Crow’ and turned when WCW questioned him, storyline wise, and he turned his back on WCW, that was the beauty of that story. This character was that strong.”
For now, it appears Jazwares has the license to produce Sting action figures for its AEW toyline. Mattel’s WWE Monday Night War Elite Collection is available exclusively at Walmart.
