– Kofi Kingston is closing in on becoming the longest-reigning tag team champion in WWE history, which is a record currently held by Billy Gunn. A user on Reddit said that Gunn was at 953 days, while Kofi is currently at 946 days. So if he doesn’t lose the title on Smackdown Live this Tuesday, he’ll surpass the record by next week.

– New England Championship Wrestling has announced that Paul Richards will retire after their event on October 13 at Milton, MA. He has been working as their General Manager and was the local Boston promoter and referee for ECW. He has nine recorded concussions and has been diagnosed with CTE. He will work with Chris Nowinski as the “face of CTE” for professional wrestling.
